Dundee Women’s Festival aims to promote equality, advance education, learning and health and to create opportunities for women through arts, culture and other activities in Dundee and surrounding areas.

A great opportunity for someone with experience in book-keeping to expand their knowledge, complete OSCR returns, look at funding opportunities and join an enthusiastic Board of volunteers in organising Dundee Women’s Festival in March.

The duty of the volunteer treasurer is to maintain records of the monies raised and spent by DWF. In some cases where grants are involved, money will be ring-fenced and will require to be accounted for in detail.

The treasurer will attend the monthly Board meetings and present a financial statement at each. The treasurer will also be responsible for completing OSCR returns, as DWF is a charity, (SCO44450) and financial returns as required by any funders.

In addition it is hoped that the treasurer will be prepared to look into funding opportunities for the organisation and make applications where appropriate.

Our current treasurer is retiring at the AGM in April /May and it is hoped that there will be a hand-over period prior to then.
