Link Up is a community project in Whitfield that supports people in the local community to set up projects and activities. Link Up looks at using the strengths and skills of local people to set up and get involved in activities they want to do.
You would be responsible for calculating the groups’ income and expenditure, bookkeeping and record keeping of the groups’ finances. Presenting this along with financial statements to the committee.
Meetings are held once every 3 months, additional however, administrative duties may be required in between meetings such as financial correspondence amongst other admin duties. Therefore, a commitment of 2 hours per month may be required. Keeping an accurate record of the income and expenditure of both the cash transactions and the online banking transactions on a monthly basis.
You will get access to training opportunities in an area you are interested in that is useful to the Lunch Club. If going on to paid employment, we can act as referees – giving you a better chance of employment. If you are under 25, we can help you towards the prestigious Saltire Award. The connections you form may open up other opportunities that you did not know existed. You will be helping to knit together a better community in the area, and working towards making Whitfield a happier, healthier place.
Experience in club accounts, bookkeeping, committee work and excel is desirable, however training will be required.
