Dundee TSI are delighted to be running free ‘Cancer Awareness and Support’ training sessions delivered in partnership with MacMillan Cancer Support and Leisure and Culture Dundee.

This training is open to all but priority will be given to volunteers and staff from organisations who work with or for older people. Each session will be adapted to suits the needs of the group but will help you to identify the signs and symptoms of cancer; screening, investigations and treatments; how to support someone affected by cancer and the different support services available in the City.

These local services are for anyone who has been affected by cancer. This need not be yourself or a family or friend, but you could be providing support to someone else who is supporting someone living with cancer.

Training will take place on the following dates and times:
• Monday 9th July at 10am – 12.30pm or
• Tuesday 17th July at 10am – 12.30pm

All sessions will take place at the offices of Dundee Voluntary Action. The address is Number Ten, 10 Constitution Road, Dundee, DD1 1LL.

Places can be booked at Eventbrite on https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cancer-awareness-and-support-training-tickets-47477190555 or by contacting me direct.

This training is free but a small non-attendance fee may need to be applied to organisations, who do not cancel in advance of the session.
