Thanks for visiting our Volunteers’ Week web page!

Volunteers Week is in it’s 35th year and has come and gone for another year. Each year we recognise and say thank you to volunteers for their help. The theme for this year was ‘Time to Celebrate and we did this by hosting a Volunteer Awards ceremony to showcase the hard work and dedication of Dundee’s volunteers.

We also presented around 100 organisations across with city with certificates of thanks in recognition of their contribution through volunteering to making a difference for the people of Dundee and featured a number of organisations with current volunteering opportunities. A highlight of the week was the ‘I Volunteer because’ speech bubble – we had so many of these completed by volunteers to tell us why they volunteer.

This is a great time of the year to think about giving something back to your community by volunteering some of your time. You can give as little or as much time as you have available. We can help match you up with a suitable volunteering opportunity. Complete the form below to let us know what you are interested in or if you don’t know what you would like to do we can send you some ideas to get you thinking about what you might like to do. There is everything from Befriending to Youth Work and you can volunteer for an hour or more a week. You can make such a difference to so many people and activities across the city.
