Why do people volunteer?

What's involved?

• On average only 2-3 hours per week
• Training is often provided
• Police checks and vetting if you're going to work with vulnerable people (but having a police record won't necessarily prevent you from volunteering)
• Some patience, it might take one or two attempts to find what's right for you
