Clubs and other sports organisations can advertise their volunteer opportuntiies through Volunteer Centre Dundee. All opportunities will be promoted on this website and in the Volunteer Centre itself. This will open your club up to a wider audience of prospective volunteers.

How?

Simple! Just register with the Volunteer Centre - then we can start advertising your organisation's vacancies. Anything from Activites Co-ordinator to Treasurer can be advertised. From 2005-2008 sportscotland funded six Regional Development Officer for Sports Volunteering, who were based within the Volunteer Centre Network. These officers developed a number of partnerships between the sports and voluntary sectors and created resources that are still available to sports organisations.

• Download the Volunteer Management in Sport: Self-study Workbook and work through it either at your own pace or with colleagues.
• Check out the training available at Volunteer Centre Dundee by visiting the training calendar.
• Contact the Training & Development Worker at Volunteer Centre Dundee to arrange training for a group (e.g. for sports development officers or active schools coordinators).

• In order to work with clubs on volunteering matters, download the Framework for Developing Volunteering in Sports Clubs. This document can be used to help the club to work out what volunteers they require and how best to recruit and support them. This should be used in conjunction with the Club Tip resources (above).
