Connecting Women

Dundee Womens Aid offer emotional and practical support and/or safe refuge to women, young people and children experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic abuse.

Do you want to be part of an exciting new initiative at Dundee Women’s Aid which involves working with women within an organisation which aims to end domestic abuse? This is a brilliant time to get involved as we deliver a new scheme connecting women in the local community.

This role will involve: Being paired with a woman who has experienced domestic abuse; Meeting up with a woman/women on a regular basis (at least once a month – times to be decided by you and the woman) to provide the woman with a connection in the local community; Discuss with the woman and identify an area she’d like to work on e.g. going for coffee, joining a group, IT skills etc; Contributing to organising social activities with other volunteers and women using the service.
