Are you interested in working with and supporting local communities in Dundee to enable change and create new opportunities to promote and encourage improved health and well-being? Do you have the skills and experience to engage with local communities to identify needs, gaps in provision of facilities/services, and assist in the development of sustainable initiatives together with local partners? This will be done in a way that seeks to achieve the overall aims of the Health and Social Care Partnership and responds to the key issues identified by communities, local partners and that support local and National agreed priorities.

We are looking for a Development Officer to join our Community Engagement Team to deliver tangible results by building community assets to create stronger, more cohesive communities. The successful applicant will be outgoing with a positive outlook and have a good understanding of co-production and using an asset based approach. They will understand community development and have relevant experience of supporting communities to develop local solutions that respond to local need whilst addressing the wider programme outcomes.

If you have experience in community engagement and capacity building as well as a track record of developing activities/services in the community/third sector, we’d like to hear from you.

Deadline for submitting applications is 12 noon on Monday 29 July 2019. Interviews are expected to be held the week beginning 5 August.

Volunteer Dundee seeks to be an equal opportunities employer.
