Exciting New Enterprise Project for Muslim & BME Women
Amina have an exciting, new and innovative EVE project (Empowerment via Enterprise) for Muslim & BME women.
At Amina, we strongly believe in an assets based approach. Our clients have so much untapped potential and capacity to contribute. The Employability project supports and seeks to empower Muslim and ethnic minority women who, by in large, do not value their skills, experience or expertise, to develop confidence, resilience and a sense of self-belief. We aim to increase human capital and to provide a barrier free learning environment so our clients will be at the forefront of Dundee’s transformational redevelopment and the opportunities that brings.
Enterprise, is alternative route to income generation. Mainstream services however, by in large, do not meet the entrepreneurial needs of the women that we work with (as documented in our previous RBS Skills and Opportunities funded research). The solution – practical business blocks – taking women on an entrepreneurial journey from idea generation, to product-making, pricing, marketing, selling etc. Engaging with a range of experts and role models we will expose our clients to businesses in health and well-being, catering and arts and crafts. Please see the fliers below for further information.
We cordially invite you to attend our EVE project launch where you will be given the opportunity to learn more about our exciting, innovative project. Please see below for further details. The event takes place on Monday 23rd of October 10:00-11:30 at the Malmaison Hotel. Please note, due to service users being present, this will be a women-only environment. It would be terrific if you could come along.
To register for the event please contact Rachelle via the info e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or by phoning the office on 01382 787 450.
Feel free to share this invite with your contacts and any organisations who you believe may benefit from attending.
I look forward to seeing you there.
