The Kiltwalk wouldn’t be possible without the help of our fantastic network of volunteers – The Kilties! Help us raise millions of pounds for charities and causes all over Scotland, whilst having fun, making friends and creating memorable experiences that will last forever.

All of our Kilties receive great training and are fully supported and kitted out in their uniforms on event days. If you have knowledge, experience and enthusiasm then the Kiltwalk needs you!

What is the Kiltwalk?

Kiltwalk is a unique charity that enables walkers to raise money for any Scottish charity of their choice. By staging events that bring together thousands of walkers who fundraise for their chosen charity or cause, we support those in need of a helping hand.

A Kiltwalk is a powerful fundraising model, developed and under-written by Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation. Their support will enable 140% of the sponsorship money raised by Kiltwalkers to go directly to their charity or local cause. Every walker can select the charity or local cause that they wish to donate to.

What do Kilties do?

We need Kilties to give their support at the events, keep walkers spirits up and create the most enjoyable day possible. All of the work you do, the time you give and effort you put in to makes our events what they are and is always recognised by our staff and our walkers.

We have an amazing selection of roles for you to choose from this year! Here you will find some information on what each role will entail and any skills/knowledge you may require.

Roles include:

• Back Marker Kiltie
• Control Room Kiltie
• Course Zone Kiltie
• Driver Kiltie
• Info Point Kiltie
• Lead Bike Kiltie
• Lead Zone Kiltie
• Pit Stop Kiltie
• Venue Kilties
• Carnival Kilties

Fundraise while volunteering with the Charity Boost Programme

To show how much we appreciate all the hard work our Kilties do for us, we donate £1.40 for each hour they volunteer for the Kiltwalk to a charity of their choice.
