Volunteering is growing in Dundee – be part of it

“Volunteer Centre Dundee exists to involve more people more effectively in volunteering to help make Dundee a better place to live.”

Originally established in 1997 as “The Volunteer Information Point”, Volunteer Centre Dundee is an independent voluntary organisation that provides a ‘Volunteer Centre’ service in Dundee by:

  • Gathering up to date information about local volunteer opportunities
  • Putting people in touch with organisations where they can volunteer
  • Providing information and advice to those who work with volunteers
  • Promoting and publicising the values of volunteering

We offer information and support with volunteering on an outreach basis across Dundee (Outreach programme) and are also available to discuss volunteering with you on the telephone 01382 305705.

We also support organisations who involve volunteers to achieve a best practice standard in volunteer management through the Volunteer Friendly Award, provide training and facilitate a Volunteer Managers Forum.

Definition of Volunteering

Our definition of volunteering is the commitment of time and energy for the benefit of the community, undertaken by choice and without financial gain.
